Nicholas Bishop 4b122f5817 makedb.sh: fail if a command exits non-zero 
In particular this better handles the case where the `g++` command
fails (e.g. due to not having shapelib installed). The script should
not continue if that command fails.

Please download the database files here or create them using the builder.

The files in the folder out_v1/ use a newer format and use less space to encode the same information.
